Done In One
The New DS- 40Y
Designed to reduce setups and cut cycle times, the DS-40Y combines dual-spindle turning with Y-axis, 
C-axis, and live tooling for efficient done-in-one machining. Gear-driven C-axis control on both the 
main and secondary spindle provides accurate positioning and fully interpolated motion for live-
tooling operations. Mechanical C-axis brakes provide strong holding torque for off-center milling 
and drilling, while fully synchronized opposed spindles enable on-the-fly part pass-off. The machine 
comes standard with a 12-station BMT75 turret.
